Office Ergonomics for Employers (Train-the-Trainer)
This training is designed and recommended for Team Leaders, Health and Safety Representatives or RTW Coordinators who need to be able to independently conduct a workstation assessment for employees.
This is a Train-the-Trainer type of training designed to reduce the costs associated with engaging an external provider to conduct standard ergonomic assessments. The 4 hour training has a significant practical component to ensure that at the conclusion of the training, participants are competent in conducting an Ergonomic Assessment independently. Participants will be able to critically identify and assess risk factors by measuring, observing and consulting with the worker, in order to eliminate or control risk factors identified. This includes learning how to justify recommendations to adjust the workstation, use special ergonomic equipment or change work practices using the latest research and evidence based practice.
Participants are provided with training material, an assessment checklist and certificate of participation.
